LAZ Parking is seeking a qualified Facility Manager (FM) with experience in employee management and technology to oversee parking enforcement operations for the City of Malibu, California. This full-time, year-round role supports traffic control for special events and ensures operational excellence, client satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. Peak activity occurs between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the parking enforcement program and partner with the City to identify and prioritize enforcement locations.
- Ensure full compliance with all contractual obligations and service requirements.
- Manage, plan, schedule, train, and direct the daily activities and performance of the team.
- Foster a culture of safety by promoting best practices related to driving, patrol operations, and conflict resolution.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support customer satisfaction, contract retention, and business growth.
- Oversee payroll administration, ensuring timely approval of employee hours and accurate payroll processing.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve annual and periodic goals while embodying LAZ Parking’s core values.
- Identify, mentor, and develop high-potential employees to support organizational growth and succession planning.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with City Public Safety, local law enforcement, and emergency management personnel.
- Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial and operational reports as required.
- Serve as the primary liaison between parking patrons, stakeholders, and operational teams, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Lead and execute projects, programs, and operational initiatives that support business objectives and enhance service delivery.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee special event traffic control operations in partnership with City officials and stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage operational initiatives specific to assigned locations, ensuring successful implementation and completion.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2+ years working in parking enforcement and experience in employee management in a supervisor/manager role.
- Highly proficient in Office365 suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Able to learn and become proficient in other software applications.
- Experience in overseeing technology and implementing initiatives that streamline existing processes using technology.
- Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License and have a clean driving record.

Physical Demands
- Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.

Schedule
This is an exempt, full-time, year-round position. The Facility Manager generally works standard business hours but must maintain a flexible schedule to support operational needs, including occasional evening and weekend work, particularly during peak periods or special events.
