Facility Manager
Job Summary

As the Facility Manager, you will serve as a key resource for maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations while supporting faculty, researchers, staff, students, and external partners.
About the Role
Manage day-to-day facility operations, serving as the primary point of contact for building-related services and operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance activities, and service requests with Purdue Physical Facilities and external vendors
- Support building safety and security efforts, including emergency planning, safety inspections, training coordination, and compliance initiatives
- Oversee shipping, receiving, distribution, and material movement activities, including support for specialized laboratory operations
- Collaborate with principal investigators, faculty, engineers, staff, students, and service providers to ensure the facility remains a productive environment for research and innovation
Requirements
- Master’s degree in business administration or related field
- Two (2) years of experience in managing facilities or facilities operations
- Must obtain IFMA FMP certification within first 6 months
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels, both internal and external to the university
- Knowledge of Safety/OHSA standards
- Able to implement safety compliance and enforce in a fair and equitable manner
- Motivated individual who will take initiative to solve problems, assume responsibility and meet deadlines

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually.
