About the role
Oversees the day-to-day operations of entire facility, providing direct supervision and managerial oversight necessary for the efficient and profitable management of a pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Train and develop subordinate staff
- Estimate personnel needs, assign work, and meet completion dates
- Interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies
- Assist in the development of an annual store operating budget and operate within budgetary guidelines
- Hire, develop, and perform reviews of store personnel
- Assign duties and schedule staff to meet payroll and productivity budget guidelines
- Meet or exceed budgetary sales guidelines
- Manage and balance store inventory
- Ensure in-store technology is used to its fullest potential
- Communicate corporate goals to store personnel through weekly meetings
- Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees
- Ensure all Loss Prevention policies are followed and report deviations
- Implement corporate marketing, advertising, and promotional programs
- Assist in collections and management of Accounts Receivables
- Ensure receiving and handling requirements for merchandise are followed
- Implement and maintain Standards of Presentation and Merchandise presentation guidelines
- Interface with auditors, inspectors, vendors, and outside agencies as needed
- Maintain the physical plant to protect customer and employee safety
- Submit required reports and data to corporate on time
- Ensure store employees follow state and federal guidelines regarding the sale of alcohol and tobacco
- Optimize cost management in line with script counts
- Perform store clerk duties as needed
- Ensure facilities are compliant with all state and federal regulations and requirements
Requirements
- Limited lifting up to 80 lbs
- Successful completion of the Store Manager Training Program
- Successful completion of the Pharmacy Technician Training Program
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, with 3 or more years of experience in Merchandising, Store Management, or a related field. Registered with the State of Vermont or Ohio as a Pharmacy Technician, if applicable.
