About the role
Provide direct supervision and managerial oversight necessary for the efficient and profitable management of a pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the entire facility.
- Train and develop subordinate staff, estimate personnel needs, assign work, and meet completion dates.
- Interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies.
- Assist in the development of an annual store operating budget and operate the store within the budgetary guidelines.
- Hire, develop, perform reviews, and take disciplinary actions for store personnel.
- Ensure all employees are adequately trained to perform duties.
- Assign duties and schedule staff to ensure payroll and productivity budget guidelines are met.
- Meet or exceed budgetary sales guidelines.
- Manage and balance store inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.
- Ensure in-store technology is used to its fullest potential to maximize return on investment and lifespan.
- Communicate corporate goals to all store personnel through weekly store meetings.
- Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees.
- Ensure all Loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations to Loss Prevention.
- Ensure all corporate marketing, advertising, and promotional programs are fully executed and implemented.
- Assist in the collections and management of all Accounts Receivables, including Third Party, Compensation, and Kinney House Charge.
- Ensure all receiving and handling requirements for Kinney warehoused merchandise and Direct Store Delivery (DSD) merchandise are followed.
- Ensure all Standards of Presentation (SOP) and Merchandise presentation guidelines are implemented and maintained in a timely fashion.
- Interface with various auditors, inspectors, vendors, and outside agencies as needed.
- Ensure the physical plant is maintained to protect customer and employee safety.
- Submit required reports, cashups, timesheets, and other requested data to corporate on time.
- Ensure all store employees follow all state and federal guidelines regarding the sale of alcohol and tobacco.
- Optimize cost management in line with script counts.
- Perform all store clerk duties as needed.
- Ensure facilities are compliant with all state and federal regulations and requirements.
- Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree.
- Preferred: 3 or more years previous experience in Merchandising, Store Management, or related field.
- Vermont Employees: Registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Ohio Employees: Registered with the State of Ohio as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Limited lifting up to 80 lbs.
- Successful completion of the Store Manager Training Program.
- Successful completion of the Pharmacy Technician Training Program.

Pay
$65,000.00 - $79,385.78 per year. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
