Facility Maintenance Senior Technician

The City of Chandler Building and Facilities Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining their team as a Facility Maintenance Senior Technician. This position is scheduled to work five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.

About the Role

This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available. The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment. These policies have not been altered by the passage of Proposition 207. The use of recreational marijuana is a violation of the city’s Drug Free Workplace Policy. Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and values teamwork and collaboration.
• Perform maintenance tasks in commercial and industrial environments, including the use of construction equipment.
• Operate an Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Maintain municipal or other government-owned facilities.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED supplemented by some technical or related coursework; and 4 years of maintenance experience in commercial/industrial environment, including the use of construction equipment; and EAMS or CMMS experience; and A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in commercial building facilities maintenance.
• Experience maintaining municipal or other government-owned facilities.

Skills

Well-rounded maintenance professional with experience in commercial building maintenance and a broad knowledge of HVAC/mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
