We Build with Passion — Clean Harbors in Kimball, NE is seeking a mechanically inclined Facility Maintenance Repair Technician to provide on-site maintenance and repairs for industrial processing equipment.
About the role
$32.75+ hourly, DOE, paid weekly with overtime. Schedule: 4 × 12-hour shifts per week on a 5-week rotation — 1 week of nights, 4 weeks of days. One of the weeks consists of 4 × 10-hour days.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Perform industrial maintenance on conveyors, compressors, hydraulic systems, kilns, boilers, electrical systems, and welding
- Disassemble and reassemble facility equipment to examine or repair
- Fabricate metal pieces and replace gaskets as needed
- Determine cause of malfunctioning systems and perform repair or replacement of defective components
- Monitor equipment to ensure all repairs and testing are completed for proper operation
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Hydraulic system repair experience
- Experience with compressors, conveyors, and other industrial processing equipment
- Industrial maintenance experience preferred; will train candidates from oil/gas, railroad, wind turbine, and military industries
- Heavy equipment repair experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Proficiency with cutting rigs and welding
- Proficient with computers and systems
- Knowledge of the industry's latest technology or experience working with electronics
- 100% onsite; no remote work
- DOT Training
- Ability to perform multiple tasks
- Lift up to 50 lbs. from the ground to waist
- Climb up and down vertical ladders
- Capable of reaching out, over, and down while exerting force
- 20/20 eyesight (corrected or uncorrected); depth perception is critical
- Ability to perform 10 pushups, deep knee squats, and sit-ups (fitness assessment)
- Good hand/eye coordination
- Valid Driver’s License
- Punctuality and attendance required
- Respirator fit test upon hire; clean-shaven face required (mustache okay)
- Background check, drug screen (including cannabis/marijuana), and physical required
- Updated resume including most recent employer required for consideration
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; sponsorship not available

Pay
$32.75+ per hour, depending on experience. Paid weekly with overtime.
