Responsibilities

  • Perform regular and preventative maintenance/repairs in and around the facility to include but not limited to production equipment and support equipment (i.e. inserters, cutters, folders, hydraulic lifts, forklifts, etc.).
  • Conduct repairs throughout facility to include but not limited to plumbing, heating, electrical work (using Volt ohm meter (VOM)), and wiring.
  • Weld (electric, gas, brazing, etc.) when needed.
  • Install, modify, fabricate and maintain equipment such as conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fork trucks, pallet jacks, material handling equipment, all graphic art related equipment, and building HVAC equipment.
  • Ensure the cleanliness in and around the facility (i.e. disposal of all litter, trash and debris on grounds, streets, and parking lots).
  • Install all the equipment needed.
  • Security - Ensure that locks and security systems are always operational.
  • Work with operators and maintenance team to maximize machine uptime and productivity.
  • Review maintenance requests, safety reports and estimate time/material required to complete the task, recommend/coordinate special projects.
  • Handle hazardous waste in a safe manner by following the safety procedures.
  • Respond to service calls, troubleshoot malfunctions, determine parts, and repair procedures to place equipment in operating condition.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks to maintain optimal equipment performance.
  • Continue education as required for role, must complete and pass electrical skills test.
  • Follow all Nahan safety and quality standards.
  • Work assigned shifts, including weekends and overtime, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school or GED required.
  • 2 Years of secondary education preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or related field.

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot advanced machine/equip. malfunctions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical specifications.
  • Strong Computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently, part of a team, train and coach.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
  • Excellent time management skills and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency/fluent with English language, both written and verbal.

Pay

Base pay is based on job-related skills, experience, credentials, role scope, and location. Candidates outside the posted range are encouraged to apply, as qualifications and market factors may influence consideration.

Schedule

Shift: Days, 8AM - 4PM
