Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative and predictive maintenance on process systems including mill, production, packaging, utility, and other facility equipment
• Partner with operations to troubleshoot issues on process systems, utilizing machine manuals and schematics
• Absorb and maintain GMPs, safety, and food safety standards
• Partners with company leadership to proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution and one of the following: Two-year associates degree or higher in technical field (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, etc.) or equivalent Military training and experience in a relevant Military Occupational Specialty (MOS)
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a mechanic, maintenance, electrical, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, or related role
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding
• Experience with power transmission components such as belt drives, chain drives, bearings, motors & gears
• Experience with drill presses, lathes, Bridgeport-type mills
• Experience with operation and maintenance of forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulated lifts

Physical Requirements

• Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
• Crouch, stoop, kneel, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, operate foot pedals, lift/carry, sit, stand and walk for extended periods
• Work in dusty, high heat/humidity, and cold environments, and confined spaces
• Wear a respirator as needed
• Make fine distinctions by sound
• Communicate verbally and in writing, and distinguish objects or equipment visually
• Shift: 9pm-7:30am
• Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday

Starting Pay

$26/hr
