Facility Maintenance

About the role

Reliable Chevrolet Springfield is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Facility Maintenance / Custodial Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for facility maintenance, custodial services, grounds maintenance, and general building upkeep to ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment for our customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and janitorial duties throughout the dealership
• Clean offices, restrooms, showroom, service areas, and common areas
• Collect trash and maintain interior and exterior cleanliness
• Perform general building and facility maintenance
• Complete minor repairs and replace worn or defective items
• Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical maintenance
• Maintain dealership grounds, including mowing, landscaping, and seasonal cleanup
• Remove snow and ice from parking lots, sidewalks, and entrances
• Complete painting and facility touch-up projects as needed
• Follow OSHA and company safety standards
• Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards promptly
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, custodial, janitorial, property maintenance, or grounds keeping preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or mechanical systems preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable attendance and work ethic
• Valid driver's license required
• Cell phone required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the workday
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull 50 to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to operate hand tools, power equipment, lawn care equipment, and cleaning equipment
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
• Ability to safely work on ladders and perform tasks at varying heights when necessary
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout a 10-hour shift
• Ability to inspect, clean, maintain, and repair facilities and equipment while maintaining attention to detail

Requirements

Pay

$15-$18 per hour (DOE)

Schedule

Four 10-hour shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday)
