GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Facility Inpatient Coding Audit Team Lead to provide both technical leadership and hands-on auditing support for our growing facility coding team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned inpatient coding auditor who enjoys mentoring others while remaining actively engaged in coding quality and compliance. In this dual-role position, you'll spend approximately 50% of your time performing inpatient coding audits and 50% leading daily audit operations, helping ensure exceptional quality, productivity, and team success. While the primary focus is facility inpatient auditing, experience with outpatient facility auditing is highly preferred. What You'll Do Coding Audit & Compliance (Approximately 50%) Perform comprehensive audits of inpatient facility coding with emphasis on MS-DRGs, ICD-10-CM/PCS, POA indicators, discharge disposition, and quality measures.Validate clinical documentation to ensure accurate code assignment and regulatory compliance.Identify coding trends, reimbursement opportunities, and compliance risks.Provide meaningful education and feedback to coding professionals based on audit findings.Maintain audit quality and production expectations while supporting continuous process improvement. Team Lead Responsibilities (Approximately 50%) Create and assign daily audit batches while balancing team workloads.Monitor audit production and ensure established turnaround times and quality expectations are consistently met.Serve as the primary escalation point for audit-related questions and operational issues.Train and onboard new auditors while providing ongoing mentorship and coaching.Conduct biannual Auditor Technical Assessments (ATA) and support performance evaluations.Prepare audit reports, productivity metrics, and quality dashboards for leadership.Partner with operational leadership to identify workflow improvements and implement best practices.Foster collaboration across remote and global audit teams while promoting coding excellence. Requirements RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certificationMinimum 3 years of inpatient facility coding auditing experiencePrevious experience leading, mentoring, or serving as a senior resource for coding auditors strongly preferred.Outpatient facility auditing experience preferred.Experience supporting remote and/or offshore coding teams is a plus.Expected production: 2 charts per hour (CPH) while performing audit responsibilities.Must be authorized to work in the United States.
