About the Role

Support design and construction of Weapons System Infrastructure & Capabilities (WSIC) projects, including major facility modifications, construction projects, and support equipment installation for the Trident II missile.

During the design phase, develop and review facility engineering design packages such as drawings, sketches, technical specifications, and cost estimates. Evaluate designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and relevant regulations.

During construction, review and interpret plans and specifications to ensure alignment with design intent. Conduct regular site visits to verify constructed facilities meet design specifications and company requirements. Identify, report, and ensure corrective actions for any construction deviations or deficiencies.

Coordinate planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within assigned responsibility. Plan and formulate engineering programs; review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements. Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. Coordinate technical developments, scheduling, and resolution of engineering design and test problems.

Responsibilities

  • Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements.
  • Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
  • Resolve engineering design and test problems; coordinate technical developments and scheduling.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret facility design drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical) (desired).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional certification in architecture, engineering, or a related field (e.g., LEED AP, PE) (desired).
  • Experience with creating cost estimates for facility projects (desired).
  • Experience in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit (desired).
  • Familiarity with the military construction (MILCON) process (desired).
  • Experience with construction inspection, oversight, contract administration, and field surveying (desired).
  • Experience with creating and reviewing A&E design drawings (desired).
  • Experience with creating Statements of Work (desired).
  • Proficiency in AI prompting as it applies to this position (desired).

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $85,300.00 – $158,300.00.
