Facility Attendant

Requirements

• A High School or GED diploma is preferred.
• Effective communication skills are necessary.
• Previous experience working with the VA population is preferred.
• The candidate must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior experience in Residential or Drug and Alcohol treatment settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and harassment-free environment conducive to recovery.
• Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety, including all rooms.
• Report incidents immediately to the supervisor or program manager and follow Merakey policy.
• Monitor residents while they take their prescribed medication and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure assigned chores are completed and general inspections are done properly.
• Complete assigned trainings within the mandated time frames.

Qualifications
