Requirements
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- High School or GED preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Previous experience working with VA population preferred
- 18 years old minimum required
- Prior experience in residential or drug and alcohol treatment setting is preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents' behavior
- Ensure a safe, harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery
- Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety (includes all rooms)
- Incident reporting to include writing incident reports, reporting immediately to Supervisor, program manager, and following Merakey policy
- Monitor residents while they take their prescribed medication, report all medication monitoring issues to immediate supervisor and following Merakey incident report policy
- Maintain assigned chores (if applicable) and ensure proper completion of general inspections (GIs)
- Complete assigned training within mandated time frames

- Facility Attendant position at Merakey's transitional housing program in Philadelphia, PA
- Program details include Fresh Start transitional housing program operating out of 12 different locations in Philadelphia, PA, partnering with the Philadelphia VA Medical Center and OAS
