Facility Attendant

Requirements

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• High School or GED preferred
• Effective communication skills
• Previous experience working with VA population preferred
• 18 years old minimum required
• Prior experience in residential or drug and alcohol treatment setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' behavior
• Ensure a safe, harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery
• Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety (includes all rooms)
• Incident reporting to include writing incident reports, reporting immediately to Supervisor, program manager, and following Merakey policy
• Monitor residents while they take their prescribed medication, report all medication monitoring issues to immediate supervisor and following Merakey incident report policy
• Maintain assigned chores (if applicable) and ensure proper completion of general inspections (GIs)
• Complete assigned training within mandated time frames

• Facility Attendant position at Merakey's transitional housing program in Philadelphia, PA
• Program details include Fresh Start transitional housing program operating out of 12 different locations in Philadelphia, PA, partnering with the Philadelphia VA Medical Center and OAS
