Facility Attendant

Requirements

• A High School or GED diploma is required.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• The candidate must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior experience in Mental Health Residential or Drug and Alcohol treatment settings is preferred.

About The Role

This is a direct care position working with adults in a transitional housing environment. The service populations are in the early stages of recovery from chemical and alcohol dependency, co-occurring disorders, serious mental illness, and homelessness. The main role of a facility attendant is to ensure the residents and facility are safe, and the program schedule is being followed. They are also acting as direct support to the supportive service coordinators, program managers and program directors.

Duties

• Maintain residents' behavior.
• Create and maintain a safe, harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery.
• Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety (including all rooms).
• Report incidents immediately to supervisor or program manager and follow Merakey's incident report policy.
• Monitor residents while they take their prescribed medication and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure assigned chores are completed properly and general inspections are conducted.
• Complete assigned trainings within the required timeframe.
• Ensure nutritious meals are served during your shift (if applicable).
• Adhere to local procedures while performing your duties.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Pay

$17.43 per hour, with an additional $1 per hour weekend rate.

Sat and Sun: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
