Facility Attendant
Requirements
- A High School or GED diploma is required.
- Effective communication skills are essential.
- The candidate must be at least 18 years old.
- Prior experience in Mental Health Residential or Drug and Alcohol treatment settings is preferred.
About the Role
This is a direct care position working with adults in a transitional housing environment. Service populations are in the early stages of recovery from chemical and alcohol dependency, co-occurring disorders, serious mental illness, and homelessness. The main role involves ensuring residents and the facility are safe, supporting the program schedule, and assisting with resident needs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents' behavior.
- Ensure a safe, harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery.
- Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety (including all rooms).
- Incident reporting, including writing incident reports, reporting immediately to supervisor, or program manager, and following Merakey policy.
- Monitor residents while they take their prescribed medication, report all medication monitoring issues to immediate supervisor, and follow Merakey incident report policy.
- Monitor assigned chores (if applicable) and ensure proper completion of general inspections (GI’s).
- Complete assigned trainings within mandated time frames.
- Ensure nutritious meals are being served during your shift (if applicable).
- Adhere to local procedures while performing duties.
- May perform other duties as required or assigned.

Pay
$17.43 per hour, with an additional $1 per hour weekend rate.
