About the role

This position is located within Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Programs. The purpose of this position is to perform manual labor tasks in support of the assigned facility.

Responsibilities

  • Food/Beverage Service Facilities: Carry supplies and equipment (e.g., fruits, glasses, linens, flatware) from storage to the bar or dining area; fill ice bins and crush ice; clean kitchen and dining equipment; wash dishes, pots, pans, coffee urns, glasses, and flatware; operate a mechanical dishwasher and wash large items by hand; sort, stack, and store cleaned dishware; clean cooking equipment such as ranges, ovens, fryers, pressure cookers, steam kettles, and broilers; drain and clean coffee and tea urns; scrub worktables and clean grease traps; remove soiled dishes and dispose of food waste and trash.
  • All Facilities: Load, unload, transport, and store supplies, equipment, or other items; perform basic cleaning (e.g., sweeping/mopping floors, dusting, straightening customer service areas such as lobbies and exercise rooms); clean glass surfaces and furniture/equipment; assist with cleaning bathrooms, showers, locker rooms, and car wash areas; perform general maintenance tasks such as touch-up painting, replacing light bulbs, washing/drying and replenishing towels, or stocking soap/paper towels/toilet paper; perform general lawn care tasks such as cutting grass, edging/weed eating, pulling weeds, raking, and shoveling.
  • Clean and properly store equipment after use; pick up debris and empty all trash receptacles daily; notify the supervisor immediately of any missing items or equipment malfunctions needing repair; set up and break down rooms according to supervisor instructions; ensure all needed equipment is in working condition; assist in unloading and loading trucks; open, unpack, and store contents of cartons in assigned locations.

Requirements

  • Must pass all applicable records and background checks.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check; any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
  • Starting May 7, 2025, non-affiliated individuals requesting access will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of identification to access CNRMA Installations.
  • Must be a minimum of 16 years old.
  • No previous training or work experience is required.
  • Must possess the ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions and carry out assigned duties independently.
  • Must possess the ability to work with basic equipment, materials, and supplies used in maintaining the assigned facility in a clean, sanitary state.
  • This position is subject to an irregular tour of duty including seasonal work lasting 1–4 months; evenings, weekends, and holidays.
