About the role
The successful candidate will provide educational support services to students with special needs within DuPage County schools. Responsibilities include developing individualized education plans, facilitating classroom activities, and collaborating with teachers and families to ensure student success.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans for students with special needs
- Facilitating classroom activities to support student learning
- Collaborating with teachers and families to enhance educational outcomes
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to student progress and interventions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Illinois teaching certificate in Special Education
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
