Facility and Grounds Maintenance Helper

GENERAL DESCRIPTION - PURPOSE OF ROLE: The Facility & Grounds Maintenance Helper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, organization, and appearance of company buildings and surrounding grounds. This position performs routine janitorial duties, seasonal grounds maintenance, and basic care of the tools and equipment used to complete assigned work. The role works under the direction of senior maintenance personnel and assists in providing employees and visitors with a clean, orderly, safe, and professional environment. Compensation Essential Functions: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Mow, trim, and maintain lawns and grassy areas surrounding the facilityWeed-eat around buildings, fences, signs, parking areas, equipment, and other areas that cannot be reached with a mowerRake leaves and remove weeds, branches, trash, and other debris from facility groundsAssist with the care of plants, flowers, trees, shrubs, walkways, and landscaped areasPerform seasonal grounds maintenance, including the removal of snow, ice, mud, and dirt when necessaryKeep sidewalks, entrances, parking areas, fence lines, and other outdoor spaces clean, attractive, orderly, and safeOperate light trucks, lawn equipment, and assorted hand and power tools as authorizedPerform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of lawn, gardening, and groundskeeping equipmentClean and maintain assigned offices, restrooms, breakrooms, production-support areas, common areas, and other facility spacesSweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean surfaces using approved cleaning tools and productsRemove and properly dispose of trash, recycling, and other waste in accordance with company proceduresRestock paper products, soap, cleaning supplies, and other assigned facility suppliesIdentify and report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, maintenance concerns, and needed repairs to the appropriate supervisorFollow all safety procedures when operating equipment or handling cleaning products, chemicals, and waste materialsProperly store tools, equipment, chemicals, and supplies after useMaintain accurate completion of assigned cleaning and grounds-maintenance schedulesAssist the Maintenance Department with basic facility-maintenance tasks when trained and directed Requirements Qualifications and Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the position.
