About the role

Big Sandy Community & Technical College is seeking two Facilities Worker II positions to work primarily second shift at the Prestonsburg campus.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning of classrooms, hallways, and offices such as dusting, taking out trash, cleaning windows, vacuuming, and keeping the soap and paper towel dispensers full.
• Performs daily cleaning and maintenance of restrooms.
• Performs minor repairs and assists with major repairs.
• Performs dry walling, painting, installing ceiling tiles, minor plumbing, and assembling and delivering furniture, and setup rooms for special events.
• Maintains grounds by mowing, weed-eating, picking up trash, and snow removal.
• Performs floor maintenance such as shampooing carpet, sweeping, mopping, stripping floors, waxing, and buffing.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of experience

Pay

$25,896.00 annual salary

Schedule

• 12-month contract
• 37.5 standard hours per week
• Primarily second shift
