Responsibilities
- Participates in safety programs and safety training.
- Responsible for various painting needs of facilities to include interior and exterior surfaces (walls, doors, railing, bollards, industrial equipment, etc.).
- Assists other technicians when needed and assigned.
- Performs drywall installation, finishing, and repair.
- Performs prep-work for painting tasks.
- Performs minor fabrication work and repairs.
- Responsible for ceramic tile repairs and installation.
- Affords assistance with minor repairs of lighting and other electrical components including lamp replacements.
- Completes PM forms and reports all problems to the supervisor.
- Responsible for minor plumbing repairs.
- Responsible for logging all repairs, materials, and time on completed work orders.
- Affords assistance with cleanup of pre-assigned areas and workspaces.
- Affords assistance with snow and ice removal activities.
- Performs other duties necessary to keep the Airport operating safely and efficiently.
- Sets an effective pace and minimizes interruptions in the completion of tasks.
- Will be required to work without direct supervision in an effective and safe manner.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Two (2) years of experience in commercial painting and building repairs.
- Thorough knowledge of and exercise judgment and planning in selecting and using materials, tools, and equipment in industrial painting.
- Knowledge of industrial paints, primers, and coatings.
- Working knowledge of installing, finishing, and repairing drywalls.
- Knowledge and experience operating power tools and equipment to perform industrial maintenance.
- Sufficient skills to assist with the installation and maintenance of equipment such as door closers, standard lock sets, light fixtures, restroom fixtures, and other industrial facility equipment.
- The ability to understand and communicate orally and in writing and be able to prepare clear and concise records.
- The ability to operate a forklift and aerial man lifts.
- The ability to read, understand, and follow equipment operating and instruction manuals.
- The capacity to plan and anticipate so that tasks are completed in the most efficient manner.
- Proficiency in the use of a personal computer is necessary, including skills in Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint.
- Skills in prioritization, organization, verbal communications and interpersonal relations, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License.

Pay
Salary Level 4
Full-Time Non-Exempt
Typical Hiring Range: $21.91/hr. to $27.68/hr.
Schedule
Will be subject to recall after normal duty hours.
