About The Role

The Facilities Technician I is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on building infrastructure, including drywall repair, plumbing, painting, and office remodeling, replacing light bulbs and other facilities duties. This role ensures the smooth operation and safety of our facilities by assisting in the development and implementation of facility management plans and strategies, supporting facility maintenance, coordinating service requests, and assisting in space planning activities.

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of facility management plans and strategies.
  • Support facility maintenance activities and coordinate service requests.
  • Assist in space planning activities to ensure optimal use of facility space.
  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify and address issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and service requests, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient facility operations and respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Provide support during office moves, including new hire setups and building relocations.

  • Typically entry-level 0 - 2 years of experience.
  • Experience in facility management or building operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong ability to repair building cosmetic defects such as: drywall repair, painting, carpeting, and ceilings.
  • Experience in providing a polished business environment to improve visitor and team member satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of advanced facility cleaning processes with the ability to utilize professional cleaning products and equipment to produce excellent results.
