Facilities Technician I

Role Overview

The Facilities Technician I supports the maintenance and operation of building systems, working under senior engineers and the Facilities Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with routine inspections and preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Support troubleshooting, repairs, and reporting of system irregularities.
• Perform basic tasks and maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Complete work orders, conduct safety protocols, and participate in ongoing technical training.
• Respond to facility issues and assist with emergency procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in building maintenance or related technical trades.
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency with computer applications.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and operational procedures.
• Flexibility for shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical & Work Environment

Requires physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with exposure to diverse environments and hazards, including live broadcasting settings.
