Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily general maintenance and repair work across the facility, with primary focus on: Electrical systems (panels, lighting, wiring, controls), HVAC systems (preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair), Mechanical equipment (motors, conveyors, compressed air systems, etc.).
- Diagnose and repair issues using test equipment and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Execute preventative maintenance (PM) activities on all building systems, with priority on electrical, HVAC, and mechanical assets.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance requests, minimizing downtime through timely and effective repairs.
- Perform mechanical rebuilds, adjustments, and modifications to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Maintain and repair additional facility systems including plumbing, compressed air, life safety, and general building infrastructure.
- Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new or replacement equipment, including HVAC units and mechanical systems.
- Aid in troubleshooting and maintaining building automation systems and controls.
Facilities & Maintenance Support
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and proactively address issues before failure.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment history.
- Manage and track spare parts, tools, and maintenance inventory.
- Support and coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or inspections, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Assist with facility improvement projects, upgrades, and capital installations.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, with strong emphasis on electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing: Electrical systems (preferred), HVAC systems (required), Mechanical equipment in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and CMMS tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability in a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Physical Requirements
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working in a 24/7 manufacturing environment (including shift, on-call, or weekend support if needed).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and reaching.
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC certification and/or electrical certification strongly preferred.
- Experience with compressed air systems, controls, or building automation systems.
- Experience supporting industrial/manufacturing equipment and facilities.
