Main Responsibilities
- Work with the Facility Supervisor to provide an efficient, responsive, cost-effective facilities support service.
- Plan, design and perform construction projects, where delegated by Facilities Manager.
- Report to the Facilities Supervisor any non-conformance to SLA measures.
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance of property including but not limited to: Painting, Grounds/car park maintenance (gritting, rubbish clearing, safety), General site maintenance.
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance programs of equipment including but not limited to (where appropriate additional training/support will be given): Technical performance of equipment in the facility Servicing.
- Absolutely ensure appropriate maintenance/servicing records via PPM our system.
- Absolutely ensure continuous improvement to operations, decreasing turnaround time i.e., in facilities repair, TPM, and working cooperatively and jointly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ability to prioritize workload in ever changing situations.
- Absolutely ensure supporting and ensuring adherence to the Company’s environmental procedures and ensuring changes in legislation and Company practices are reflected in the facilities procedure.

Skills, Aptitude And Experience Required
- Experience in a similar facilities role essential.
- Experience in a similar construction industry role is essential.
- Experience in directing and planning essential services such as maintenance, plant servicing, waste disposal, recycling, security.
- Understanding and work experience of manufacturing/engineering (desirable).
- Understanding and work experience of pneumatics, electricity, heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) and building management systems.
- (Maintenance Connection (very desirable)).
- Demonstrates a good awareness of Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Able to plan and prioritize work, but also respond to business priorities as they occur.
- Able to use MS office applications i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Able to evidence written and verbal communication skills – including negotiations and facilitating skills.
- Able to work unsupervised to time scales and under pressure.
- Able to demonstrate Continuous Improvement (CI) skills.
- Able to observe general housekeeping rules and always maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
- Able to display a work ethic and personal attributes that support the culture and values at Ontic i.e., a “hands on” approach and a willingness to work outside the parameters of the role to the benefit of colleagues and the wider Company.
