Facilities Technician

Facilities Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Troubleshoot issues and complete repairs using sound judgment, technical skill, and personal initiative
• Execute and manage technically complex projects with minimal supervision
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and improvement opportunities
• Assist in scheduling, escorting, and overseeing contractors performing facility repairs or projects
• Assist with office moves, equipment installations, furniture assembly, and workspace reconfigurations
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in clean, safe working condition
• Follow and promote workplace safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, PPE use, and hazard reporting
• Support compliance with OSHA, fire code, and internal safety policies
• Participate in emergency preparedness activities, including equipment checks and safety drills

Shipping & Receiving Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
• Log, label, and distribute incoming materials, mail, and packages to appropriate departments
• Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, documentation, and scheduling carrier pickups
• Keep loading dock and storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Cook with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve delivery discrepancies or delays

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and basic proficiency in plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using a wide range of hand and power tools
• Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures
• Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and climb for extended periods; ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, USPS) is a plus

Pay

The base salary range for this position is between $75,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, we offer an annual bonus and equity in the company.
