About the Role

This hybrid position serves as both a Facilities Technician and Day Porter, split approximately 50/50 between light maintenance/repair tasks and cleaning duties. The role ensures a clean, safe, and orderly environment while performing minor upkeep of building systems.

Responsibilities

• Facilities Maintenance (50%):
  • Perform light repairs including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general handyman tasks
  • Conduct routine inspections of building systems and report issues as needed
  • Replace light bulbs, air filters, and other minor components
  • Assist with preventative maintenance activities
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders
  • Elevate repair tasks that exceed current qualification level
• Day Porter/Cleaning (50%):
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas including lobbies, restrooms, break rooms, and hallways
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal
  • Restock supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) throughout the day
  • Address spills, hazards, and urgent cleaning needs in a timely manner
  • Monitor facility conditions and ensure a neat, professional appearance at all times

Reports to the Facilities/EH&S Director for Day Porter responsibilities and the Facilities Supervisor for Facilities/Maintenance responsibilities.
