Facilities Sr Manager

This role manages multiple functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings. It supports Property Managers with all repairs and investment plans within the Facilities Management functional area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, including tracking training, conducting performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage daily team activities, including work schedules, task assignments, and cross-training.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines; mentor and coach as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and manage large, high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspections and quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing procedures.
  • Review and approve purchase orders for procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Apply broad knowledge of the business and discipline to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Influence others to adopt different viewpoints while adhering to policies and plans.
  • Identify and solve complex technical and operational problems.
  • Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 5–8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance measurement, appraisal, and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to lead sensitive, complex, and difficult information exchanges, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate teams toward broad operational targets impacting multiple disciplines.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Intermediate math skills, including calculating percentages, fractions, and financial-related figures.

Pay

The minimum salary for this position is $150,000 annually, and the maximum salary is $165,000 annually. Compensation is based on skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates are also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
