Facilities Specialist Entry Level

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and oversees repair and maintenance work assignments.
• Serves as a liaison between technicians, vendors, and contractors for building maintenance, landscaping, and janitorial work.
• Ensures services rendered comply with O&M policies and seeks concurrence from senior facility operations specialists.
• Submits and processes work orders, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.
• Verifies monthly metrics against O&M parameters and reports any discrepancies.
• Utilizes the facility integration tool for submitting service requests.
• Collects and provides monthly metrics for executive reporting on service order completion rates.
• Performs facility inspections, including quality assurance on preventive maintenance inspections, and reports any anomalies.
• Collaborates with Space Management to ensure employees have designated seating.
• Understands and follows the process of Space Management.
• Obtains proposals from vendors for the procurement of parts, service, and labor for projects.
• Ensures invoices are accurate and paid on time after services are completed.
• Works with senior facility operations specialists to understand and manage the Space Management process.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of related experience.
• Minimum of one year of completion towards an associate degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
• Effective presentation and problem-solving skills.
• Input for annual budgetary formulation for your area of responsibility.
• Basic mathematical skills, including percentages, discounts, and commissions.
