Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs manual labor activities, which includes: emptying trash cans; gathering materials and equipment; placing materials and/or equipment in proper locations; sweeping; setting up furniture and/or equipment; digging; cleaning; moving furnishings; painting; and/or, performing other related tasks.
- Affords assistance and responds to internal customer requests for assistance, inquiries, and/or other related requests; and responds to emergency situations as required to ensure the safety of students and staff.
- Maintains facilities, vehicles, and/or equipment utilized in daily activities; troubleshoots, maintains and performs simple repairs and preventive maintenance to equipment; monitors inventory of supplies.
- Notifies appropriate individuals of required facility and/or equipment repairs.
- Under direction, performs routine, minor repairs.
- Affords assistance in performing routine grounds maintenance activities, including picking up trash, sweeping walkways, and weeding planter areas.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Licenses & Certifications
- Licensing Requirements: Valid Arizona Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements
- Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
- Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of forces constantly to move objects.
- Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, and intense noises.
