DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as a crew leader to lower level staff, which may include: prioritizing and assigning work; monitoring the performance of lower level staff; training staff on work methods and procedures; and, participating in performance evaluations.
- Performs manual labor activities, which includes: emptying trash cans; gathering materials and equipment; placing materials and/or equipment in proper locations; sweeping; setting up furniture and/or equipment; digging; cleaning; moving furnishings; painting; and, performing other related tasks.
- Assists and responds to internal customer requests for assistance, inquiries, and/or other related requests; and responds to emergency situations as required to ensure the safety of students and staff.
- Maintains a variety of logs, forms, and written communications of activities within assigned area of responsibility.
- Maintains facilities, vehicles, and/or equipment utilized in daily activities; troubleshoots, maintains and performs routine repairs to equipment; monitors inventory of supplies.
- Captures and processes shipping and receiving receipts, purchase orders, and bills of ladings.
- Maintains supplies and inventory to ensure appropriate levels for the performance of facilities and maintenance support activities; recommends the purchase of supplies and inventory.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma, or G.E.D., and two years of relevant maintenance experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License. Some Positions May Require Pesticide Applicator’s License.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
- Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of forces constantly to move objects.
- Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, and intense noises.
