Facilities Services Technician, Second Shift

Responsibilities

• Provide substitute custodial coverage as needed
• Perform event setups and support
• Maintain grounds
• Perform minor repair and preventative maintenance on facilities
• Work during delays and snow closure days
• Work overtime and irregular hours as required
• Occasionally provide campus-wide coverage and work in multiple buildings
• Occasionally require out-of-area travel

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Experience as a custodian
• Preferred experience in general maintenance duties, such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing and HVAC
• Preferred experience in general lawn and grounds duties
• Preferred experience operating mechanical lifts
• Required ability to read, write, and interpret instructions
• Required ability to communicate both orally and in written form
• Required possession of a valid driver's license
• Required operate a plow truck
• Preferred working knowledge of computer applications related to work order systems and Microsoft Office/Office 365 programs
• Required demonstration of sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues
