About the Role

As the Facilities Services Leader, you will perform a variety of duties to support overall facility maintenance, including heavy manual tasks and maintaining facility cleanliness. This role may require working late shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Building Service Workers/Facilities Services Workers in tasks involving physical labor, equipment operations, and general custodial duties.
  • Monitor work in progress and completed tasks to ensure adherence to supervisor’s instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines.
  • Provide input to supervisors on performance appraisals, position descriptions, and additional on-the-job training requirements for team members.
  • Report apparent defects in building and exhibit systems (e.g., leaks, cracks, breaks, unusual smells) and safety hazards to supervisors.

Requirements

  • Pass a pre-employment background investigation.
  • Complete a probationary period if required.
  • Maintain a bank account for direct deposit/electronic transfer.
  • Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered with Selective Service.

Physical Requirements

  • Perform moderately heavy work, including lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Work outside in all weather conditions with exposure to dirt, dust, pollen, and insects.
  • Climb ladders and stairs.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.

Qualifications

To be rated qualified, your overall experience and training must demonstrate possession of the minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this position. Your resume (limited to two pages) should clearly describe how your experience aligns with the responsibilities and specialized experience required.
