Facilities Security Guard (Full Time)

About the Role

Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees, medical staff, and hospital property. Monitors hospital premises, patrols assigned areas, responds to security incidents, assists during emergencies, and helps enforce hospital policies and procedures while providing excellent customer service. Participates in emergency preparedness activities, drills, and disaster response efforts. Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and hospital policies.

Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict. Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Respond to security incidents and assist during emergencies
• Enforce hospital policies and procedures while providing excellent customer service
• Participate in emergency preparedness activities, drills, and disaster response efforts
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and hospital policies
• De-escalate tense situations safely and professionally
• Respond quickly to emergency situations and assist with disruptive or combative individuals when necessary

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be 18 years of age
• Current Montana Private Security Guard License required
• Previous security, law enforcement, military, healthcare security or related experience preferred
• Valid MT driver’s license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to deal with pressure, meet deadlines, and handle constantly changing situations
• Ability to interact with a variety of people and handle stressful situations and conflict

Pay

Starting wage: $22.13/hourly. Actual offered wage is based on applicable experience.
