Qualifications
- Degree, license, or certification in a professional mechanical trade plus 3 years of experience in that trade, or 10 years of experience in trade plus clear examples of advanced technical ability and continually increasing responsibility
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work all shifts and available for overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
- Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Ability to work at elevated heights, including the use of a ladder
- Ability to lift 50lbs
Responsibilities
- Perform routine building maintenance tasks to systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or carpentry
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) or maintenance plans in order to perform preventative maintenance
- Conduct site-wide maintenance to our facilities, including painting, patching walls, replacing ceiling/flooring tiles, and carpet
- Cookordinate complex projects or maintenance across a variety of disciplines
- Manage other site-wide operations and maintenance programs as assigned by facilities management
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as needed
- Open, track, and resolve work orders on a CMMS and lead basic preventative maintenance tasks
- Cookordinate maintenance with contractors and building occupants to ensure minimal downtime
- Strong understanding and adherence to electrical and mechanical safety
Preferred Skills and Experience
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems
- Ability to perform intermediate levels of preventative maintenance on critical equipment
- Ability to perform intermediate levels of troubleshooting of building equipment
- Ability to perform intermediate levels of corrective maintenance for equipment
- In depth understanding of tools and their uses; ability to identify the best tool for the job
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills
- Willingness to lead and mentor junior technicians
