Responsibilities
- Oversight of facility maintenance and operations
- Maintenance and repair of all buildings
- Completion of timely repairs
- Keeping detailed maintenance logs and equipment inventory
- Maintaining tools and equipment
- Submitting requests and proposals for major repairs or improvements
- Grounds management including oversight and coordination of groundskeeping activities
- Scheduling and supervising volunteers or completing work personally
- Ensuring camp grounds are consistently safe, clean, and visually appealing
- Obtaining and maintaining necessary licenses and performing required water testing
- Aiding in maintaining overall camp safety standards
- Identifying and addressing potential hazards proactively
- Guest readiness and turnover preparation
- Coordination of volunteer activities
- Recruitment, scheduling, and supervision of volunteers
- Maintaining a current volunteer contact list
- Fostering relationships to encourage ongoing volunteer engagement
- Project management in collaboration with the Executive Director
- Overseeing the execution of approved projects
- Ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope
- Ministry involvement and promotion
- Actively participating in the mission and ministry of the camp
- Attending staff meetings and collaborating on ministry planning
- Administration and reporting
- Maintaining accurate logs, inventories, and compliance documentation
- Preparing quarterly and annual reports for board meetings
- Submitting required paperwork in a timely manner
- Leadership support
- Assisting in operational continuity
Qualifications
- Demonstrated Christian faith and lifestyle consistent with biblical values
- Heart for ministry, discipleship, hospitality, and youth development
- Commitment to servant leadership, integrity, humility, and spiritual maturity
- Experience in facility maintenance, construction, or related field
- Ability to perform hands-on physical labor
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading or coordinating volunteers preferred
- Willingness to engage in faith-based ministry context
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Flexible and responsive to seasonal demands
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Physical requirements: ability to lift, carry, and operate equipment, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, perform manual labor for extended periods
