Facilities Manager - Equipment Maintenance

Overview This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions. Responsibilities Position Responsibilities: Supports and directs various job families to support the production flow of the product.Facilities leadership with the acquisition, modification, maintenance, and disposal of owned and leased assetsApplies process management and improvement techniques.Uses problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to develop innovative and expedient solutions for equipment reliability.Facilitates work teams, provides training and interfaces with internal organizations and external customers with regard to project planning, problem resolution, and process improvement on building systems and production equipment. Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Minimum 2 years of experience in Aerospace, Aviation, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Metallic Finishing/Processing, Assembly or MachiningMinimum 2 years of experience managing/supervising a team of 20 or more employeesMinimum 2 years in a leadership/management experience (industry or military) Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment over FacilitiesExperience reviewing, delivering or monitoring production metricsExperience in Microsoft Office SuiteWorking experience with multiple cross functional groups (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, Facilities etc.)Prior management level experience reporting out to Senior Leadership on department production statusFlexibility working 2nd, 3rd or alternative work week shifts Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Associate’s or Bachelor’s degreeMinimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership roleMinimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace, Aviation, Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, Chemical Metallic Finishing/Processing, Assembly or MachiningPrior Military experience (management or leadership)Understanding of a manufacturing production atmosphereUnderstanding of supervising Union employeesExperience with Facilities maintenance or machining Experience working in a 24/7 operations environmentAbility to coach and develop team(CFM) Certified Facilities Manager, (SFP) Sustainability Facilities Professional, or (FMP) Facilities Management Professional certifications. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range: $78,650 - $120,600 Kansas Tax Credit: Join Spirit AeroSystems’ Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years.
