Facilities Manager
Duties And Responsibilities
Lead facility operations, maintenance activities, and infrastructure reliability programs across assigned locations.
Develop and maintain a rolling 5-year capital asset replacement and facility infrastructure plan.
Prioritize maintenance, safety, compliance, business continuity, and capital projects based on risk and operational impact.
Analyze facility performance data, maintenance trends, utility consumption, and operating costs to drive improvements.
Lead root-cause investigations and implement permanent corrective actions for recurring facility failures.
Manage facility budgets, capital expenditures, supplier performance, and service agreements.
Provide technical leadership regarding HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, roofing, building automation systems, and building infrastructure.
Direct management of warehouse employees, including coaching, development, performance management, and work prioritization.
Oversee the delivery of facility services by external service providers and vendors through established contracts, service-level expectations, and operational requirements.
Communicate and resolve conflicts effectively with internal customers, vendors, landlords, and business leaders.
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Required Education, Experience And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 4+ years of facilities, engineering, maintenance, or infrastructure management experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or related environment, including 2+ years of leadership or management experience.
- Experience in managing facility budgets and leading capital projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Strategic asset management and long-range planning capability.
- Project management skills, including prioritizing and execution of multiple initiatives.
- Financial and business acumen.
- Sound technical judgment and ability to make independent decisions.
- Able to lead initiatives independently with minimal direction.
