Facilities Manager
About the role
The Facilities Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility(ies) or campus, including custodial, life-safety, engineering, site services, and general maintenance. They manage contracts, oversee maintenance programs, respond to tenant needs, and ensure compliance with insurance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure day-to-day operations are consistent with policies and client directives
- Manage contracts, review and bid out as required, verify invoices
- Supervise maintenance programs, respond to tenant needs
- Oversee contract programs, assess tenant needs, solve problems promptly
- Prepare and review budgets, financial reports, contracts, expenditures, purchase orders
- Coordinate annual budget, quarterly reforecast, and business plans
- Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives
- Hire, train, and motivate staff, conduct performance evaluations
- Monitor and ensure compliance with insurance requirements and claims
- Collect, analyze, and report statistical data
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Project Management, or Business Administration
- Minimum 5-7 years of commercial high-rise, campus environment, and/or property portfolio management experience
- Experience in leasing, construction, engineering, and all facets of property operation and building management
- Experience with critical system environments, development of cost-saving programs, CMMS/Work Order Management experience
- CMFM, IFMA, BOMA industry certifications recommended; other Engineering, Business or technical training or certifications preferred
- Communication, technical proficiency, problem-solving, leadership, teamwork, relationship management, financial management skills
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Strong literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong financial management skills including budgeting and forecasting
- Knowledge of Financial Systems (Yardi preferred)
- Proficient in Building Management Systems maintenance and monitoring

Pay
$116,450.00 - $137,000.00
Schedule
Flexible schedule to accommodate various weather conditions and travel between properties.
