Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Clean and detail transit buses (inside and out)
  • Maintain transit buildings, bus stops, and passenger shelters
  • Perform groundskeeping (mowing, snow removal, general upkeep)
  • Fuel and move transit vehicles safely
  • Record vehicle information and daily logs
  • Assist with basic maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, etc.)

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to obtain a Class B CDL with air brake & passenger endorsement
  • Ability to obtain a Federal Medical Card
  • Ability to perform physical work (lifting, bending, working in varying weather conditions)

Physical and Working Environment

  • Limited exposure to disagreeable elements such as dirt, temperature fluctuations, and/or limited exposure to weather conditions
  • Normal mental and visual attention is required
  • Moderate physical demands typically found in service and maintenance work with moderate exposure to workplace hazards
  • Requires regular lifting, bending, twisting, turning, and use of power equipment
  • Ability to walk, stand, lay on ground, and work in extreme weather conditions
