Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Clean and detail transit buses (inside and out)
- Maintain transit buildings, bus stops, and passenger shelters
- Perform groundskeeping (mowing, snow removal, general upkeep)
- Fuel and move transit vehicles safely
- Record vehicle information and daily logs
- Assist with basic maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, etc.)
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma
- Ability to obtain a Class B CDL with air brake & passenger endorsement
- Ability to obtain a Federal Medical Card
- Ability to perform physical work (lifting, bending, working in varying weather conditions)
Physical and Working Environment
- Limited exposure to disagreeable elements such as dirt, temperature fluctuations, and/or limited exposure to weather conditions
- Normal mental and visual attention is required
- Moderate physical demands typically found in service and maintenance work with moderate exposure to workplace hazards
- Requires regular lifting, bending, twisting, turning, and use of power equipment
- Ability to walk, stand, lay on ground, and work in extreme weather conditions
