Facilities Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings and training classes to stay updated on building policies and procedures.
• Evaluate facilities’ procedures to ensure safety and establish new safety guidelines.
• Maintain inventory of all equipment and tools.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NC driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Experience in maintenance of commercial or residential facilities preferred.
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of and ability to follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs and to stand, bend, stoop, and climb stairs for long periods.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Flexible schedule to include different shifts revolving around event schedule as needed, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Professional interaction with fellow employees and general public.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for building emergencies.
