Responsibilities
- Responsible for the construction/repair of structures
- Ensures continuous maintenance of safety, cleanliness, and appearance of all facilities
- Conducts and documents monthly building inspections
- Encourages safety of all staff and clients by continuously maintaining and inspecting facilities, grounds, equipment, and proper procedures
- Maintains all groundskeeping equipment and records all monthly inspections and maintenance
- Affixes and disposes of periodic furniture installations and assemblies
- Assists in the upkeep of the grounds as directed by the supervisor
- Mulches, edges, trims, and performs general landscaping tasks
- Assists with the installation and completion of tickets
- Assists with vendor quotes and estimates, as needed
- Mentors and works with approved clients daily in internships and service projects related to the role and responsibilities
- Collaborates with the Operations Team and Facility CEO on large projects
- Ensures self and others are maintaining a safe workspace and wearing protective gear
- Responds appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
- Remains in compliance with all assigned competencies and trainings
- Maintains complete confidentiality of clients in the program
Requirements
- Minimum HS diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience in construction including electrical work
- Working knowledge of landscape equipment/tools, including tractor use and maintenance
- Basic landscape experience
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
Qualifications
- Knowledge of purchasing, supplies, grounds-keeping, and equipment repair
- Experience in wilderness/residential therapy
- CADC-I or CADC certification
- Understanding of OSHA
