Facilities Maintenance Technician II

About the role

A Facilities Maintenance Technician II performs skilled maintenance and advanced repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow established dress and behavioral codes
• Attend meetings and training classes to stay updated on building policies and procedures
• Participate in the facilities on-call rotation
• Maintain inventory of all equipment and tools
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with standard operating procedures, State building codes, internal requirements, manufacturer specifications, and safety protocols

Requirements

• 5+ years of electrical and/or HVAC experience, including troubleshooting HVAC components, electrical systems, controls, motors, conduit installation, and general knowledge of the electrical code
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of basic mathematical skills
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions, and adhere to building policies and event requirements
• Knowledge of and ability to follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, stoop for long periods, and climb stairs
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules
• Ability to interact professionally with fellow employees and the general public
• Valid NC driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Must pass a criminal background check
