Facilities Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of company facilities, offices, shops, and yards.
  • Complete minor building repairs, including drywall patching, painting, carpentry, shelving, baseboards, minor electrical and plumbing repairs, and emergency cleanups.
  • Assist with office setups, including hanging, installing, removing, or relocating items as needed.
  • Move, assemble, disassemble, and repair furniture and other office furnishings; coordinate related cleanup.
  • Set up and break down company events and assist with loading, unloading, and transporting event equipment to offsite locations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard, shop, and facility environment.
  • Support yard organization, equipment staging, laydown yard operations, and controlled storage.
  • Receive, organize, prepare, load, and unload shipments, materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Assist field and office teams with general facility, yard, and operational support as needed.
  • Identify facility or yard maintenance needs and communicate larger repair requirements to management.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance, inspections, minor diagnostics, and repairs of:
    • Small engines, including generators, pumps, and compact equipment
    • Light and heavy equipment
    • Fleet vehicles and trailers
  • Assist with equipment mobilization, demobilization, and transportation as needed.
  • Accurately document repairs, inspections, maintenance activities, and parts usage in Tenna.
  • Assist with GPS/telemetry device installations, troubleshooting, and replacements.
  • Support inventory accuracy by verifying equipment condition, location, and status.
  • Assist with general fleet and equipment organization and upkeep.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, yard operations, construction support, or a related field.
  • Experience with general repairs, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, furniture installation/moving, or facility upkeep preferred.
  • Equipment, vehicle, or small engine repair experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of diesel/gas engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance practices is a bonus.
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus or willingness to obtain.
  • Construction, contractor, warehouse, fleet, or facilities experience is preferred.

Skills

  • Hands-on experience with general facilities maintenance, building repairs, yard operations, or related work.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills are a plus.
  • Organized, dependable, resourceful, and safety focused.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple facilities and operational needs.
  • Clear communication with management, administrative teams, and field personnel.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new equipment, systems, and processes.
  • Tenna, GPS/telemetry, or fleet management system experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working in shop, yard, warehouse, office, and job site environments.
  • Ability to operate company vehicles, trailers, and equipment as required.
