Key Responsibilities
- Performs both preventive maintenance and repair work across the facility, including inspecting equipment regularly, identifying issues early, and completing repairs that minimize downtime and ensure seamless daily operations.
- Maintains heavy equipment systems, performs commercial building repairs, services electrical and lighting systems, and supports HVAC equipment across various areas such as guest rooms, offices, and rooftop units.
- Assists with general interior upkeep—painting, drywall repair, carpentry tasks, and surface restoration.
- Diagnoses and repairs issues with commercial restroom fixtures, addresses leaks, clears blockages, and ensures reliable functionality of water and drainage systems.
- Maintains multiple pool systems by monitoring water chemistry, inspecting mechanical components, and performing corrective maintenance to keep aquatic environments safe and compliant.
- Extends outdoors with responsibilities that include grounds care, light landscaping, and seasonal duties such as snow removal using shovels, snowblowers, and a snowplow.
- Maintains safe and organized workspaces by using Parts Manuals, CMMS software, and related tools to track work orders, document maintenance activity, and order necessary parts efficiently.
- Daily work often requires operating independently, making sound decisions, and applying strong troubleshooting skills to resolve issues quickly.
- Works in a variety of weather conditions, adapts to changing priorities, and manages time effectively to complete tasks within expected timelines while upholding high standards of safety and quality.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED required.
- An associate’s degree (AA) in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
- Completion of a trade or craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on maintenance experience, preferred.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry or a similar environment preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic in a dynamic setting.
