Facilities Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Lakeshore Sport & Fitness is seeking a dependable, skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their maintenance team. This role operates in a 160,000+ square foot facility that is open every day of the year.

Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry repairs and facility improvements
• Complete plumbing preventative maintenance and minor plumbing repairs
• HVAC diagnosis and repair is a plus
• Prepare facilities for community events, including room setup, equipment arrangement, and post-event breakdown
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and address issues proactively
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize work effectively
• Communicate project status, maintenance concerns, and repair needs with supervisors and team members
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure facilities remain safe, operational, and welcoming

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on repair and maintenance experience working on a facilities or building maintenance team
• Demonstrated experience with HVAC diagnosis and repair
• Working knowledge of carpentry and plumbing preventative maintenance
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to keep managers and coworkers informed of project status and maintenance needs
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
