Facilities Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, repairing, replacing facility infrastructure and utility systems.
• Perform maintenance work involving carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, concrete, etc.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and assigned work order tasks.
• Install and maintain plumbing, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Install and remove equipment as needed.
• Review and monitor current processes to optimize efficiency.
• Follow OSHA and company safety standards, including lockout/tagout and PPE use.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Associates degree in a related field is preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities related field. Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems is required.
• Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Knowledge of facilities equipment such as HVAC, air compressors, electrical distribution, vacuum pumps, air dryers, interior and exterior lighting, plumbing, etc. Strong knowledge for performing routine and specialized maintenance tasks to ensure building, equipment, and other systems are functioning safely and efficiently. Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance inspections and preventive measures. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work including climbing ladders, standing, and bending. Knowledge of building codes, OSHA regulations, and basic electrical/mechanical systems. Strong time management skills and the ability to work without direct supervision. Basic computer required such as: Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook (email).

• Must be at least 18 years of age due to federal labor law requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, twisting, bending, reaching.
• Frequent lifting, carrying up to 20 lbs.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
