Facilities Maintenance Technician

About the role

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician at Cytiva (a Danaher operating company), you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on our Hauppauge, NY site, covering the building, grounds, and facilities equipment. This is an on-site role reporting to the Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production, facilities, and auxiliary equipment, including boilers, air compressors, air handlers, chillers, pumps/motors, HVAC units, waste treatment systems, RO/DI systems, electrical, and lighting systems.
• Maintain strategic spare parts inventory and purchase spare or replacement parts as needed.
• Conduct or coordinate inspections of the building, grounds, facilities, and life safety equipment.
• Perform or coordinate repairs and corrective maintenance based on inspection findings.
• Improve equipment reliability, uptime, and efficiency through maintenance program enhancements, process improvements, and equipment upgrades.
• Schedule and supervise external service vendors performing maintenance activities on-site.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance or facilities work.
• Mechanical experience, including identifying mechanical failures, repairing moving components, performing preventive maintenance (PMs), and assisting with overall building systems maintenance.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience, with the ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems and wiring issues.
• High School Diploma required.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and have a good attendance record.
• Ability to work overtime with short notice and respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
• Must work safely and comply with the company’s health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

Physical/Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent use of hands, climbing, bending, and stooping.

Pay

The annual salary range for this role is $72,000 - $93,000, with eligibility for bonus/incentive pay.

Schedule

This is an on-site role in Hauppauge, NY. Must be available to work overtime with short notice and respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
