Facilities Maintenance Technician

About the role

The role focuses on maintaining facilities, ensuring operational support, and contributing to the health and safety of our buildings through preventative and corrective maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, including repairs on walls, roofs, doors, flooring, plumbing, HVAC, general carpentry, electrical, and playgrounds.
• Handle grounds and facility upkeep such as sweeping, pressure washing, and cleaning dumpster enclosures.
• Provide operational support, including inventory management, moving and building furniture, installations, and completing reactive work orders across multiple locations.
• Pick up and distribute swag, consumables, literature, and parts.
• Assist with event setups and labeling safety and building fixtures.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to lift heavy loads (50+ pounds), stand for long periods, walk, and climb ladders.
• Strong problem-solving skills with minimal oversight.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and clear, concise communication.
• Ability to use technology effectively.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, plan ahead, and travel to out-of-state locations as needed.

Work Environment

The role involves working both inside and outside, including on roofs for HVAC tasks. There are opportunities for advancement within the company.
