Facilities Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join AutoZone as a Facilities Maintenance Technician and play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and functionality of our retail stores. In this position, you'll be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections across a designated area.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and fix minor issues related to electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment maintenance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and manage work orders.
• Assist in vendor identification.
• Frequent overnight travel required.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure stores remain in top condition for customers and employees.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and adhere to AutoZone's dress code.
• Conduct routine store visits for building and ground repairs.
• Perform diagnostics on the Energy Management System.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance.
• Report store conditions using electronic media.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• 1–2 years of maintenance experience or equivalent education.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet AutoZone’s driving requirements.
• Must be 21 years or older.

Qualifications

• Skills in electrical, plumbing, and general construction.

Skills

• Trade or Technical School courses.
• Additional maintenance experience and/or education.
• HVAC certifications.
