Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise bargaining unit employees in the operation, adjustment and inspection of refrigeration compressors, boilers and associated equipment and controls or in the installation, operation, maintenance or repair of facilities, equipment or machine tools.
• Ensure conformance in work area to the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
• Aid in the planning and scheduling of work.
• Analyze delays and noncompliance with schedules and initiate corrective action.
• Ensure adherence to all environmental specifications, cost objectives and energy conservation measures.
• Report status of work and recommend improvements in methods, equipment and use of personnel.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained.
• Perform other managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Coordinate and communicate with HS&E on safety related questions and/or proper safety procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or
• Associate's degree and 3 years of related experience, or
• High school diploma and 4 years of related experience.

You Must Have:

• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
• United States Citizenship.
• Ability to work on-site as directed by management and as determined by the needs of the business.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
